HOME OF THE BERKSHIRE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
2013, 2015 & 2017
Sulhamstead & Ufton Cricket Club has been in existence for over 100 years and our colts section has been encouraging young people to play cricket for over 30 years. As a result, we have a direct cricket playing membership of around 100 and many more in the shape of family, friends and passing public enjoy the ground as spectators throughout the summer.
Over the years the club has continually sought to improve and enhance its facilities to the benefit of the local community regardless of age, ability or gender. One of the most significant improvements was the construction of a purpose build clubhouse that was opened in 1990. As that was nearly 30 years ago, it is not surprising that the facility is in need of some refurbishment and improvement to bring it up to date with the expectation of our current membership and to make it more flexible in its use as a meeting or social space as well as a clubhouse for cricketing members.
Please visit this link for further details on the proposed renovation and to donate to our cause.
In addition, as part of the Thames Valley League registration process, our Jack’s Booth ground and facilities were found to have met the necessary criteria to join the league. However, several recommendations were made with a view to enhancing the experience of players, members and supporters visiting SUCC. Below, we have drafted plans for a Clubhouse extension with a targeted completion date of Summer 2020. The plans show our intention to build an Umpires room and a Kitchen in order to meet league standards and improve our facilities for all who use the ground.
From Summer 2018, SUCC will be running several fundraising initiatives in order to raise money for the extension. Please continue to explore the Fundrasing - the SUCC 2020 Project area of our site to find out some of the ways you help us achieve our target of £50,000
